Welcome to Hillcrest United Methodist Church!
Although I have only been serving this congregation since July 2017, I feel like I am home. I grew up in South Knoxville and worked in downtown Knoxville for 25 years before answering a late-in-life call to vocational ministry. My faith journey has been diverse – including extended time in the Baptist and Presbyterian churches before joining the Methodist church where I realized I have been a lifelong fan of John Wesley (without knowing it). I am still seeking to know our mysterious God more fully, still growing in my understanding and practice of what it means to be a Christ-follower in an increasingly secular world, and struggling with my wife to raise two teenage girls. Maybe some of that resonates with you.
